Hot Off The Press – New Titles This Week

With seven new titles and a further seven existing publications updated, we’re delighted to announce that our page count passed the 90 million mark this week.

We added 381,980 pages to the Archive – there are stories from Banffshire to Bournemouth for you to explore.

This week’s largest new addition is Lady’s Pictorial, with 124,602 pages covering intermittent years between 1881 and 1921 available for you to discover. Founded in 1880, this magazine catered to middle-class women and was originally priced at 3d.

Within these 2,035 issues you’ll find everything from undercover journalism to delicate illustrations – they reflect the interests and talking points of wealthy women around the turn of the 20th century. The Lady’s Pictorial offers an important historical insight into the period.

New titles this week

This week we welcomed seven new titles to the Archive. With pages spanning 1858 to 1933, these new additions offer a fascinating insight into English life and culture in the 19th and 20th centuries.
