We’ve added 153,774 pages to 10 regional titles to The Archive this week. We have added seventy-five years worth of material from between 1911 and 2003. This week we have added 113,770 pages to The Archive, with the inclusion of several brand new Scottish titles such as the Dalkeith Advertiser, the Banffshire Advertiser, the Hawick Express (pronounced “Hoick”!), and the Coatbridge Express.The years we’ve added to the Coatbridge Express expose a time in distinct contrast to the quaint and bright North Lanarkshire town you’ll see today – or, indeed, you would have seen in the 18th century before the town became one of the primary mining towns
This week we have published 21,349 pages to The Archive.  We have published six brand new titles and added pages to four existing titles.   This week we have added brand new papers for the counties of Dorset, West Sussex and Cheshire in England, and an important political newspaper for Ireland.With the addition of the Bournemouth Guardian, The Christchurch Times and the Southern Times and Dorset County Herald The Archive now holds nine newspapers for Dorset.  Our coverage for the county
This past week we released 105,098 pages to The Archive.  In time for International Women’s Day we are thrilled to add nine new titles to our Suffragette Collection.  We have also  updated four existing titles including The Globe for which we now have editions spanning 1804 to 1921, and our recently added Scottish title The North Star and Farmer’s Chronicle for which we now have a run from 1893 to 1911.Our new titles represent the full spectrum of the feminist and suffrage movements, from
This year, 2018, is the 100 year anniversary of the Representation of the People Act 1918.  The Act which gave propertied women over the age of thirty, and all men over the age of twenty-one, the right to vote.  Over the course of 2018 we aim to digitise several suffragette and women’s newspapers.  These papers will allow us to explore the suffrage movement, and the social sphere of the women who campaigned for the right to vote.We are delighted to be able to

It’s a new year at The Archive and we’re excited to be back and bringing you ever more pages and titles. We are looking forward to a year of hearing your stories, and sharing interesting finds from The Archive.These past few weeks we have published 344,442 pages, and added ten brand new titles to The Archive.Joining The Archive are papers for the cities and towns of Bristol, London, Dublin, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Staines, Northampton, Reading and Tenbury Wells.We
