Brand New Titles

Making their debut this week are historical local papers from London, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and North Yorkshire. Plus, our focus on women’s history continues with the addition of three publications that broadly cover the topics of suffrage, socialism and female issues of the late nineteenth century.

Updated Titles

As well as adding our brand new papers, we’ve continued to develop some of our existing ones with additional coverage. Notably, you can now explore what life was like in 1980’s Newcastle with new pages added to Newcastle Evening Chronicle for the entire decade.

With new pages added each and every week, it’s useful to check back in with the Archive regularly to see if your paper-of-interest has been added or supplemented. Plus, don’t forget, you can also play a part in what newspaper we digitise next.
